DR MARKUS TROELTZSCH MD/DMD/OMFS

Dr. Markus Troeltzsch (MD /DMD) completed his dental training and received his DMD in 2005 from the Dental School at the University of Erlangen in Nuremberg in Germany. In 2010, Dr. Troeltzsch completed his medical education at the Medical School at the University of Erlangen, Nuremberg and received his MD.

Dr. Troeltzsch continued his dental studies in 2008 and 2009 specializing in restorative and esthetic Dentistry (Curriculum DGÄZ). He spent 6 months in the Department of Surgery at the University of Sydney in Australia, and then proceeded to the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. Afterwards he performed his residency at the University Clinics in Bochum (Germany) and Göttingen (Germany) where he passed the board exam for maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Troeltzsch was appointed as consultant and senior physician for maxillofacial surgery at the University of Göttingen in January 2016. In September 2016 he moved on and maintains a private office for dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany and directs the Department for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the hospital of Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany with his father and brother.

In November 2016 he was elected as the director of the APW, the Academy for postgraduate continuous education of the German dental association and was re-elected in November 2020. As this position is limited to two terms he ended his work at this position in fall 2024.

He lectures and publishes internationally and nationally on various topics, especially about up to date procedures of methods of augmentation of the jaws, implants and the
various aspects of medicine in dentistry.
Furthermore he is the moderator of various online continuous education programs.

He is the main author of the augmentation guidelines paper of the Consensus conference of the German Society of Implantology (DGI) and the head editor of a comprehensive textbook “medicine for dentists“, both were published in fall 2020.

In 2021 his initiative greenviu became accessible to the public, a way to become sustainable for medical and dental practitioners around the globe.

The study club “Med4dent“ was started in 2021 by Dr. Troeltzsch and his brother.

In 2022 he became a board member of the BDIZ – EDI.

Currently he is working on new publications and conference concepts.

Dr. Troeltzsch is specialised in the following procedures:
Dr. Troeltzsch is active as a dentist, oral surgeon and maxillofacial surgeon. Apart from orthodontics he covers all fields in dentistry and has specialised in restorative and aesthetic procedures. However his main field of expertise is surgery. He covers the whole field of oral and maxillofacial surgery and focusses extensively in: Augmentation procedures of the jaws, Oral implantology, Treatment and prevention of necrotic affections of the jaws, Surgical and implant procedures for medical complex patients Navigation and digital procedures
